Their corpses were later found, and the incident has been reported to the police and Operation Safe Haven. In Gyenbwas Rinji, two people, including a woman, were killed, and many houses were torched.
The violence in Gyenbwas Kasuwa started when herders ambushed three members of the Mwaghavul Youth Development, killing one and injuring two. The situation escalated, and the youths responded by pursuing the herders, leading to the deaths of two people and injuries to 10 others.
The attacks have raised concerns about security in the state, particularly with the recent killings of farmers and herders in the area. The Plateau State government needs to take concrete steps to address the security challenges and ensure the safety of its citizens.
In a separate incident, the police have foiled a ransom payment of N14m and rescued a kidnap victim, Semiu Ogunniyi, who was abducted from a hotel in Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State. The police arrested suspects in connection with the kidnapping, and the victim is currently safe.
